Symposium "EuropeTest - and now?"

November 8, 2014 / Dahlem Museums

What is the Humboldt-Forum’s approach to Europe? The objects shown come mostly from non-European regions, but nevertheless Europe has made its mark on the exhibition pieces: be it in terms of production or in terms of the collection history. How does this “implicit Europe” become visible? What role can the demonstration of European connections and transcultural relationships play at the Humboldt-Forum?

The symposium expanded the perspective by inviting experts from the museum and the university, in dialog with curators and the public, to comment on and enrich the questions raised and avenues accessed.

The program of the symposium can be viewed here: Symposium "EuropeTest"
